Petri Rantanen aka Falgor of Finland, a freelance animation artist, made three commercials , one for TV and the internet, and the other for showing in clubs. They where made with Blender and rendered in Yafray. No other software was used for the animation and rendering (I did use Renoise for sound editing).
"The first one is a Finnish spring water ad, for FinnSpring. I first made a web version, which was later requested to be taken to television. However, it was too long for tv (33 secs), since it was designed for web.
For this I recorded the sound effects, composed the music, and of course directed, modelled, animated, and rendered everything. Then after the first one was too long I was asked to make a 7 second tv commercial which was luckily extended to 10 secs at the end of the day. For this I did everything expect the male voice and video/sound mastering."

These two animations took me maybe about 1 month each, to make the core parts, then the tweaking started for the customer. Fluid simulation baking was quite time consuming.
Then there was the animation for clubs, for a beer brand called "Salitos". This animation is shown in clubs, on screens, I understood. That's why the director (I worked for a advertising agency on both projects, this one had a director unlike in the mineral water project) wanted to use "jump cuts" in order to irritate the viewers attention to watch what's gonna happen next.

I took one groove of out of my synth just for fun to give some club feeling to the video, but it's not going to be in the final version shown in the clubs.
Also, there's going to be some kind of a label added to the end, probably looking like this
It wasn't my job so it was added later. I made my part in 7 days (modelling, animating, rendering (including requested changes)) the end product is what you can see from the links."
Right now I am studying 3d-graphics for the final year (starting on fall), and looking for a job for the 5 months work experience required by the education.

Hey Falgor,
Congrats! I'm happy having seen quite a few of these before, directly from you, and must say they are nice! Hope you will continue doing fine in the future!
I already told you how great these were, but I'll say it again. Very professional looking. Great job!
Oh and one question, was the position of the lemon/lime at the bottom of the beer bottle intentionnal in the small poster that says "Number one party beer"? I understand it's a party beer, but that looks quite explicit! Hehe
Good job man!
Thanks guys =). Ecks, I didn't think of any "visual analogies" while I did it ;). It was just a choice in the layout, to display both fruits well. Apparently it was a bit ballsy ;).
Amazing man..... ultimate...congrats man for the awesome work n using blender too
Good stuff!
Excellent! I am even suddenly craving spring water!
Well, I wanna say thanks to ZanQdo who helped me alot with the fluids on the finnspring animations, giving me good tips, and also I wanna thank the people of #blendercoders for their help, though I suggest people to go to #blenderchat for help usually because #blendercoders is a coders channel. Thanks guys! ^_^
(btw. I seem have made a typo (expect > except))
Wow!! Very inspiring I must say!
Excellent work. Seriously!!
BTW I liked the 10 second one the most :)
nice work!
go Falgor ! :)
Thanks for sharing your work with the community. That's one of the best things at blender - people who make money with the software are still giving back to it and motivate others to continue becoming better and better.
@Born: Yeah, I totally felt the same way. LOL. I've had three glasses of water since that commercial...
Nice job!
