Blender underground is one of those sites which will get you moving through blenders new features quickly. Nicely written indeed. Now if I could only get my head into the shader nodes :D
Kudos to Apollos writing such awesome tutorials on using nodes for compositing and explaining basic pixel math. Thanks Dude. :-)\m/_
Bravo, Apollos. Like the moon? Cool. Check out our http://minosafilms.wordpress.com/
minosa = moon ;D
God bless! Thanks a lot! Nodes are very ... well, complicated to look at, but once I started grasping the concept they're better, and hopefully will prove ease of use and powerful results. Thanks!
I just registered at Blender Underground so that I could properly say thanks for these tutorials. I highly recommend for those of you like myself that are not comfortable with nodes to take a look. Time well spent!
He should have called his website "Blunderground" :) Not dissing on what he's done there, it's just a funner combination of the words "Blender" and "underground".
Blender Underground is great. Keep up the great work Apollos. I hope the man never finds you. ;)
The tutorials were great....
Are you intending to write a tutorial about the material nodes next?
This is great. I never really learned my node setups, so I can really use this!
Thanks for the kind comments everyone, and thanks for visiting the Blunderground. :P
Regarding material nodes: don't forget Eugene's excellent introduction here: http://www.geneome.net/blender/writtentutorials/matnodes.html
@Satish, glad you enjoyed the pixel math. Understanding the basics here is what got me going.
@Stockwell, I'm still far away from the gaze of that watchful eye. The Man is everywhere, but he's not at Blender Underground. 8)
great tuts.
The node tut 2 is already outdated, it can be simplyfied by adding an invert node instead of the coloramp to invert the alpha chanel. BTW isnt it easier to just connect the alpha channel to the fac. of the shadowmix node to get rid of the blackline?
keep up the good work , did any corperate body already paid half of half of the training costs they spared? If they do I might as well start a tut site.
@ Appllos LOL! :)
Well i forgot to mention that if he ever does see you? Switch to object mode and hit M pick a layer and hide. \^_^/
Keep up the great work.
Amazing, this is so helpful. I finished the first and got half way through the second (part 2), but then I got side tracked. I will surely go back, though, because they are very helpful. 5/5!
It seemed complicated to work on nodes when I started but I got the hang of it now check these out http://instantactivation.webng.com
