We all know very well the great tutorials from Montage Studio. And now they are offering some free models to download as well! The first one is a male body model.
Here is a description from Jonathan Williamson, about this new resource:
With our constant aim to provide quality resources for fellow 3D Artists we have added a new page for models. Through this we will be offering a variety of premade models that can be downloaded and used according to their accompanying license.
To get things started I've added one of my base-meshes I like to use for a lot of projects, a low-poly male body. The model consists of 1462 quads, 0 triangles and is unwrapped via three UV maps (head, body, head and body). This model is ideal for game characters, base-meshes, sculpting, etc. All it needs
is to be rigged and textured!Head on over to the Models page to download!
If you want to check out, and download the model, visit the new models page at Montage Studio!

Wow. One good news right after the other. At that pace blender is going to fry blenderheads brains.

realy nice, but why was the scene named "Vampire"? :o)
Thanks for the excellent response everyone :)
juX7u: whoops! The scene name is from one of my old projects, must have missed it whenever I saved my user defaults!
Thanks!
Nice! Good to learn from someone who knows what they are doing and being able to study their work in detail will be a great advantage.
Thanks for this!
Well in that case you can also have a look at the model I released recently under the GPL or CCbySA:

"Free" models with attribution license is oxymoron:
- They are NOT free,
- They are NOT given to you as a gift,
- They are NOT yours,
- you are NOT allowed to use them unless you attribute the company name and the name of the creator (they demand promotion).
- They put together some triangles and then want... world wide recognition!
- The creation of a model in comparison to the rest of the work in any serious 3d project is just 1% of the work.
In sort, it doesn't worth it to use "free" models.
Just learn to make your own.
