My son Jonathan is graduating High School this evening and, well, I didn't anticipate this ahead of time so I don't have any articles prepared for the moment. The graduation is followed by an all night Grad party at which I'm also a chaperon, through the wee hours. So, I'll be back with a few articles late Friday. In the meantime, I'm proud of his accomplishments and wanted to share it with you, the community. I hope you don't mind me taking a liberty on this site.
He and my daughter both attended the Orange County High School of the Arts in Santa Ana, California. Which is an amazing school. His conservatory was in Film & TV Production and he will be attending Chapman University, in Southern California in the fall, for Film/Documentary studies. If you'd like to check out some his films you can see them at jonathanformica.com by clicking on the portfolio link or the pictures that run through the home page.
It's a very happy day here and I'd also like to congratulate all of you Blenderheads that are also graduating this year.
Keep Blending!
Tim

Congratulations to both you and your son. Have fun tonight.
It's extremely unprofessional! ... But it's also very human, so who cares... :)
Maybe we need to redefine the so called "professionality" to be more humanistic...
Congratulations.
Congratulations Jonathon! and both of you have a lot of fun tonight. Be safe.
Congrats to the both of you (more to him than to you, of course ;) )!
Take it easy! :)
Hey Tim,
congratulations and enjoy the moment - I know my parents were very happy when I finished the Gymnasium.
Out of curiosity how is the art program at the high school you send your children to?
How far do the college level classes compare to an actual art college?
Congratulations for you and your son Tim! And have some fun tonight. :)
Congratulations for your son graduation, :D , apology because u are a gentelman, but this is a nice new, blendernation is like a big family, we are in confidence.
That's great news about your son. What a doting father you must be! ;)
I'll have to check out that site. Great stuff!
Congratulations Jonathan!
Congratulations!
woo hoo tell him that you all rocks so much man~
All the best for your sun but....
If you have no articles prepared for the moment, the world won`t stop rotating if you publish nothing. It`s worth wating some hours or even one day for the real thing - Blendernews. If you have articles prepared, publish them. If you have nothing, don`t turn Blendernation into Yellow Press instead...
Congrats and good luck!
I agree with Toni Grappa,
I think BlenderNation is publishing way to many run of the mill articles at the moment :(
But congrats on your son!
Congradats! W0000t!
W00t, congrats to both Jonathan and you :)
Also, Toni & Andrew -- while this is indeed not the Yellow Press, give Tim a break -- how often does a guy's kid graduate ? :)
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!!!! to the both of you specially for your son, in about 2 months I'will graduate too, it's so excited.
Mazel Tov! I will check out the site.
Apology? For what? We aren't paying anything for BlenderNation; and very few other F/OSS projects have such an amazing news source. I think we can manage for a few days without articles! Thanks -- to you and all the other volunteers -- for your terrific work, and have a great time celebrating!
congratulations!!!
Congrats, Jonathan!
Congratulations Jonathan and of course you Tim too!!!1
Your son is lucky to have a father so proud of him
Congrats! I'm with !Rocky on this one! Great news!
What a great occasion for some drinks.
Congratulations
Thank You for all of your kind words! It means a lot to me.
The graduation was wonderful last night and the kids had a great time at the party. I've had about three hours sleep but I guess my body rhythm just won't allow me to sleep during the day.
dass - This is one of the premier art high schools in the U.S. Between 95-99% of the students go on to college. The academic level is very high, mainly because these kids want to be there. Though it's a public school, you have to audition to get in to it. Some kids travel 2-3 hours a day by train and bus, just to attend it. I was fortunate to live fairly close to the school.
There's a link in the article if you want more information about
Congratulations Tim to both you and your son for your accomplishments, I wish your son the best of luck in his further educatuion
Holy **** I figured you were a lot younger! Kids graduating around you, and not from the least of schools from what I read. In dutch we would say: "goed bezig"
which roughly means, doing mighty well.
congratulations.
Freakydude, I guess that's a compliment. Mentally I'm the same age as my son. ;-) Thanks.
Tim. Skip the site! Break out the Tux and do not miss you son's event! These kind of events don't happen all that often, and when they come along you *HAVE* to break out the glad rags, the balloons and the champagne (OK not if he is old enough or is driving) but you get the idea. A celebration like this IS a big deal. (BIG SMILES). Congratulations to your son, remember to have fun, and enjoy the weekend.
Bob
For everything that you guys have done for blendernation; giving your time, effort and energy, seriously, we all owe you a big thanks, oh and congratulations!
Congratulations and good luck.
Good news is good to read...
Best,
J
Hey congratulations! What the heck...there's other people in California who use Blender?
I'm still hoping to get this users group going down in San Diego.
Thank you all again for you kind wishes.
Congrats! And that's a nice looking site he has!
