  1. Gustav: everyone who's got the DVD can just download the torrent file and copy the files from the DVD for instant seeds. I certainly will.

  2. Wahooooo!

can't wait for the release, I would have purchased the dvd, but im skint :(
I will also seed for the weekend!

  3. sounds like you won't get the HD version over net, which isn't true I guess. But otherwise, I'm really looking forward to see it!

  4. you ask about timezone?
    [UTC/GMT +2 hours] means east-europe.
    this means:
around 11 in Berlin, Paris, Rom
    around 10 in London.
    around 5 in New York.

  5. Great news!

    So.......

how down do you think the server will be with all of us loggin in? It could be a loooooong day! ;p

  6. elliot: Its currently British summer time in the UK, which means we are at gmt+1, so that will be 11 in London. Doesn't matter to me of course, I already have the DVD. I just can't find the enterprise mushroom...

  7. Surt: What do you mean? They have the .avi's on the dvds? If not, you'd have to rip it. And then it all depends on what codec you used etc etc and then if the hash doesnt match it'll be one useless seed...

    Am I missing something?

  8. Quick suggestion for blendernation: Put a digg link in the article tomorrow so there is one centralised story to dig. Should make it easier to get to the frontpage of that site.

  9. Got mine here in Germany also much later than expected, on Tuesday 27th.
Looks that we are too close to Amsterdam to get it earlyer than those in Australia.

  10. Too bad i'll be at Pinkpop around that time. Watching Metallica and Rage against the Machine. The bunny will have to wait :-)

  11. Hey, according to what I've heard there's supposed to be about 16 GB of data on the discs. Those of us who didn't buy the discs: How are WE gonna download 16 GB?!?!?!?!?!(Unless we download MB by MB which means we'll probably be sitting at our computer for 10,240 MB!(Okay, 100 MB at a time) :D

  12. Funny, I'm from Austria and got the DVD on the 23rd, much earlier then weidenfels from Germany. But Germany is nearer to Netherlands than Austria. (It shares a boarder, Austria doesn't.)

  13. Vids have been up on Youtube for the past 2 days, but I'm still looking forward to the official release in all its Hi-Def glory :)

  14. @blenderman345:
The DVDs are going to have all kinds of information on them, if I recall correctly. Multiple versions / resolutions of the movie, interviews, tutorials, blend files, etc. Probably tomorrow there'll be download links and torrents for each movie resolution (without the extras) on the Peach blog, like there used to be for Elephant's Dream on the <a href="http://www.orange.blender.org/" target="blank"Orange blog. No sixteen MB for us!

  15. I should still buy the DVD.....
good job blender foundation.... Soon we will put Maya and Max out of business!
    2.46 is AWESOME!

open source is the way to go!

  16. hei,do you guys know that others have already made it available online, even in high quality,
I downloaded the movie already a few days ago, you can find it by googling : "big buck bunny 1280x720 stereo"

  17. Sorry guys: I expected more!!
Some Details show that not every detail is 3D and the movie is a addition of a couple of people working on it.
    So its not homogen.

  18. Blender is functionally probably state of the art.
    But BBB ist not!
When will Blender have artists working on it and not programmers??
