Help Needed Updating the Features Page at Blender.org

16

features_update.jpgWith so many new features constantly being added to Blender, it's time to polish up the visuals on the Features Pages at Blender.org.

ZanQdo (of GraphicAll.org) writes:

I'm looking for new eye candy filled screenshots following these guidelines:

  • Take a look at the current images
  • Try to not waste much space in blank areas or empty 3d view zones
  • You are free to use any theme or icon set you want
  • Try to stick to some area of blender on each screenshot, for example if you are showing hair rendering you could have the particle panels in some button window, a render of the particles in some image window, and a 3d view of particle mode
  • If posible save as png files with no scaling (I do the scaling and recompressing)

Please send images to zanqdo at gmail dot com

So, if you're able, take some time to help spice up the Features page with some great visuals!

  1. That's great. To show what Blender can do, we should have impressive videos showing the advanced and very useable features of Blender.

  2. I've been getting those 500 server errors too, it's quite frustrating, I'd say 1 out of 5 attempts at reaching blender.org is actually successful.

Has the server been changed or something?

  3. Bob Smith (not real name) on

Yeah, I've been getting "500 error" messages for a week now. This is not an hourly thing. I can reload and reload, etc. every hour, and I've *never* seen it up. What's going on, guys?

  4. Also das ist eine wirklich wichtige Frage und oft ist die Antwort vielen Leuten nicht bekannt. Man muss sich st?ndig bem?hen und ausprobieren, damit man die beste Variante f?r sich finden kann.
