Following up on Endi's Sculpt tool tutorial earlier this week, Frederik Storm has published a highly detailed character modelling tutorial. It's an intermediate-level tutorial, so you may first want to learn some basic concepts by digging around this site (see the related post and search function) or the Blender Documentation Wiki.
Frederik writes:
A few words about this tutorial/walkthrough, I made this to show how I get my ideas form my head, to the paper and then to 3D. When you read this tutorial/walkthrough I don't want you to say, “So that's the right, the only way of doing itâ€, because it isn't. This is made to show how I do it, and hopefully give you some knowledge, and ideas on how you might do it next time.

Hey, that looks really cool.
Gonna try it now!
whoa, great tutorial! nothing new for me to learn, but it did remind me of some pretty useful techniques.. and i'm sure some of the people i know would really love it
Ah, this models are marvelous!! Keep it up, young Maestro!! :)
very nice tutorial, especially cause showing entire creative process from drawing to 3d-model.
The sketches and 3d works presented on your website have personality.
You have a stuff to be an artist: good observer skills and creativity.
Good luck.
many thanks - am also looking forward to try it..
soooo jealous. great work, and thanks for the insight.
Every day more and more good artists in the community.
Frederik Storm is a young Danish guy (like myself) I've been following on the net for over a year now. Character modeling is where he shines the most, but he's a great artist with many abilities. He's very talented and definitely has what it takes to reach high ground in 3D art. Visit his website and see for yourself!
Oh, and btw.. isn't it a cat, not a mouse?
