Three Funny Animations from David Ward

ward.jpgIt's great that Blender is really starting to be used for more animation! Here are three animations created by David Ward.

David writes:

My name is David Ward ("Dave"). I'm originally from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where I went to High School and College. I received my Bachelor of Arts with Graphic Design emphasis on December 17, 2005. I've been living in the Tulsa area since April of 2006, and have been working as a Graphic Web Designer.

I really enjoy doing 3D modelling and animation; and though I have no professional experience with it, I have been learning and using it as a hobby for the past seven years or so. My most recent study is building complex skeletons (rigging) for my models. All of the videos in my [website's] video section were created and edited solely by me.

  1. sencillamente descresta.....un muy buen trabajo un gran esfuerzo y excelentes encanta Blender

  2. These are fantastic. Most of the animations I've seen of the same length or quality usually have really slow movements. I think Dave Ward really understands animated realism. These videos are a pleasant change from the usual ones that are unfortunately boring and sluggish, despite having technical merit. Ward's vids have a great mix of everything, good movement, sound, great audio. Good concepts for the length of the projects. I love the rust on the car.

I'm kind of tired of the cliche karate fight, but even so, great job!

  3. David did a great job on these. I remember the first 2 from the AnimClip challenges over at AnimWatch. Nice to see the Katchup one... nicely done all around.

  4. Nice work Dave. Overheated is easily my favourite of the 3 anims. You should do more with that character, or at least a character with that voice and attitude.

Good hair tutorial on your website too.
