I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. ^____^ looks fantastic. The colours usage is great. I really replayed the video seven or eight times. It is very pleasant to the eyes and funny. Great work, guys. =DD

Just fantastic... and the facial expression on the bunny when he's drawing that arrow is amazing...
    wow.

  6. Totally professional looking. I am really looking forward to this. I might have to see if our local independant film theatre can be convinced to have a showing...

  7. may i ask how you made the music for this trailerm or even for the movie itself. I wanted to get into making music on the computer

  8. @Tobi - watching it in slow motion, I think you can just see the beginnings of butterfly juice going squish in the last frame. So, it looks like you'll be sad.

  9. Amazing!! Looks absolutely splendid.

Anyone know how long it is?

I just realised that I don't even know if it's a short film or a feature length movie. I hope it's a short though. Not that I don't think they should do a feature length, but in general short films are more fun. Bite sized comedy. :)

    Jan Morgenstern
    Campbell Barton
    Brecht van Lommel
    William Reynish
    Nathan Vegdahl
    Enrico Valenza
    Andy Goralczyk
    Sacha Goedegebure

I love these people....really I love you :DDD
You have done too Great Job...
Maybe I gonna make for you a fan web site :)))))

  11. WOW. Okay, that is some seriously professional finish, there!

    Brilliant. :-)

A constructive criticism: PLEASE add micro-movements to the scene elements in the final render! Slow moving clouds, tiny swaying to the trees, even the grass could have a post-production 'wind shadow' run accross it. I think the human eye expects these sort of things with such details scenes and the mind can get confused about whether the scene is a picture or 'live'. Give it a try. :-)

[Putting in order for DVD today, btw!]

  12. Wow. Looks like unlike ED, this one will actually have a story ^_^ Greate, because movie, even if it does look greate, is nothing without a story. Thumbs up.

  13. Good Job all the peach team !

Watch this make me more and more frustrated to had stay all production time on the "spare" list.

  15. This looks absolutely astounding !!!!

With all the animated movies now days tis is sure to gain serious notoriety and press. From the looks of this trailer this movie should be in mainstream theaters all across the world!!

Absolutely wonderful, the final product will no doubt be wonderful, amazing work everyone I think this movie will give Blender even futher global notoriety than ED did, great work, truly stunning!

Someone one needs to get this into theaters! ;-)

  16. This is soo amazing, and i also think i need to order the DVD...its really worth it...
You have done a really good job guys. Thank you for making this..

  17. Whooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!
I've watched the trailer 6 times this day.
I'm glad I've already ordered the DVD !!! I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas gifts......

  18. Blender Institute must make a full blown movie , but must search for a scenarist and some good voice "cast" actors and singers.

The quality of the Animation and the overall Style it is more closer to Dreamoworks Studios.

Looks in same colors like "Ice Age, Ice Age 2".

  19. Numarul7, I would say this animation and overall style is closer to the new Blender Institute Style - "The New Hollywood"! The new reference on High Level Film Studio, with one great difference - Open Source.

    I want my DVD!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. Lucas Da Costa Dantas on

Yes,looks perfect detais in colors and all ...
I only know about it now or what? Its the same peach think that all talking about, but
    now with a big bunny?wow..nice!
Its gonna be a short movie or a 2 hours movie ?because it was too short the trailer ...
I like it when they are inside the forest, the open scenary are too clean ,put some more trees over there or something ...

  21. Hi all,
I am on business sessions in Bulgaria, showed the trailer to 3 Bulgarians, two Bosnians, three Israelis and two Russians - All of us laughed,

I think you have a winner here!!

  22. I wish I could afford the DVD... with the value of the US dollar continually falling, it would cost me almost $60 for the DVD!!!

  23. the trailer looks very promising and the fact that the whole production is made with open source material makes it even more interesting as it means that everybody can produce a film similar to this. i am curious if someone else will pick it up to make a sequel.
