Here's an excellent tutorial by Yorik van Havre for modeling a High Rise Building
From Yorik:
"This tutorial is a general but step-by-step introduction to quick architecture modeling with Blender. It is focused primarily on architects who never really used Blender but know some 3D and who want to see how Blender can be used for their particular work.
Blender users who are not used to architecture might find it useful too, although probably very simple. I will try to go slowly and explain everything, but there will be a couple of little things you will need to find out yourself... I am sure it is not hard and by searching a bit you'll quickly find your way."

Or just use SketchUp and get it done in 1/4 of the time, import it into Blender to render FTW!
Perfect! Bart, I think you spy on me to see what tutorials I need sometimes...
Haha, actually reading the tutorial now... very funny presentation! :-D
Ataru,
I'm starting to get a "Bart" complex. LOL
*tunes his psychic ray to Ataru*
I should note that we featured this tutorial before, but it was lost in the database crash.
I followed this tutorial some time ago and found it very helpful, informative and also entertaining. Thanks for writing it, Yorik.
Btw, we also have it in our wiki by now:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Tutorials/Introduction_to_Architecture_Modeling
(especially useful since Yorik's site seems to be blendernationed... ahem...)
Thanks guys!
A couple of things I wrote about got lost in that crash... Certainly some kind of conspiration! To who liked this tutorial, I'm writing a new one now about doing high-precision architecture modelling, I'll report here dutifully when it's finished. I hope my site will resist blendernation assault this time...
afair, you already posted this tut to blendernations some time ago
Very well written and informative, by a competent author. I can recommend it. :-)
Hmm I had thought I had seen this elsewhere. Looking forward to the precision modeling one though.

@ Yorik...
i'll be waiting to check your tutorial.....
Hi, all! I'm a brazilian student and I'm doing a research in my University course about the development of the Blender. The research seeks examine the mode of development of Blender and also the profile of users and how they collaborate with Blender.
I would like that Blender users participate of this research responding to the form on page http://blenderresearch.myurl.com.br . There are few questions that may represent a major collaboration for the development of more free/open source software.
realy great tutorial!!
Yorik, we have not asked, but I think you are not against what we have translated these lesson into russian :)

@ Thomas
Yes this has been posted some month or even more before. But IMHO it does not matter because it is such a good ressource for all people working on Architecture and using Blender.
I actually did this when it was posted the first time before the server crash.
