Italian Blender Magazine

21

copertina1.jpgWell well, 2008 is starting to look like the year that Blender Magazines started appearing everywhere around the world. After announcing the German Blenderzin only four days ago, the Italian community now also have their own magazine. The first issue (mirror 1, 2) is 55 pages long, contains tons of interesting material AND a picture of the illustrious Espresso-machine the Italian community sent to the Peach team :). Too bad I don't speak Italian!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Hi, this magazine is well done, and the content is very interesting.

It is one more great information source for the Blender community.

Well done. Thank you a lot, and congratulations to the team !

  2. I think it would be better if we just had one big magazine worked on by the whole community and translated into many languages such as (Japanese, Dutch, German, English, etc.) It would offer a better and well designed magazine.

  3. there's already one big magazine for everyone, and maybe some translations would be a good idea.
but every community can taylor something more focused on its specific areas of interest and if the product is interesting there's no problem in having more than one magazine.
    congratulations to the team!

  4. when i was i child i used to read the italian translation of a famous comics character (most famous mouse); after some time i knew that the american version was differnt; but sometimes an american story was translated in italian for us, and sometimes an italian story was translated in elglish; also some character was made in italy and then was used in the USA; i think that something like that is not bad; so we can have a complete translation of the original belnder magazine, but is important that every country can develop its communitiy; this number of the magazine is great; i think that this is the right way
    all imho

  5. I think this is great. There is obviously a need for magazines focusing on blender and it is wonderful to see both the german and italian ones launch. I wish them all the best.

Now I just need to go learn italian and german so I can enjoy them too :P

  6. This looks like a great publication! Very interesting. :)

I hope at one time also an English version of this magazine will be released!

  7. I just downloaded the first issue and although I don't speak italian, was able to follow along well enough to get the general idea.

It is beautifully laid out and looks very professional. I do believe I am going to keep my eye on this. ;)

  8. I love seeing multiple initiatives - diversity is a good thing for the Blender 'ecosystem'. Given the nature of the Blender community, I'm sure all these groups will be open to exchanching articles and ideas with each other. Get in touch, guys! (and girls, of course).

  9. Well done guys ! Just finished reading you mag, it was very interesting and fun (I loved the part where Stephen Spielberg asks an hint to the editor for his latest movie dove with blender! *LOL* )

    Again, well done !!

  10. Amacing Magazin...the Content is big and the Layout is professional. It's much better than the German Blenderzin (only 15 pages). (I read the announcement on the German Blender Forum. This First Blenderzin Issue was planned since 19.09.2007. 5 Months for 15 pages? I hope in the future it will be bigger and have an faster release time.)

Blenderartmag and this New Italian Mag: welcome to my Harddrive. For ever :-)
