Peach Interviews: Andy Goralczyk

25

andy.jpgLast week I visited the Blender Institute in Amsterdam, where I had a chance to talk to the members of the Peach team (and a member of Apricot as well!). I taped my conversations with them and for the next week, we'll publish one interview each day. Today part six: Andy Goralczyk, Art Director.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Excuse the silly question, but seing all the vids of the team...Are they working with no light at all...Too much contrast, that can be terrible for the eyes... Sorry, I know is a bit of a random comment...

  2. eface: we do have a sufficient amount of light in here (i sit close to the window, too), probably the camera was not sensitive enough (especially against those bright screens)... also most of these interviews were shot later in the afternoon on a cloudy day.
GustavTheMushroom: what you see is my desktop (Ubuntu + Gnome) with huuuuge icons :) the biggest are probably Blender, Gimp, Amarok, Firefox, Inkscape, Trash, Home, Maya (uugh) and Processing.
