  1. Funny.. I was just thinking today - as I grind my teeth in this Maya class - when would that Mancandy DVD be ready. And.. there it is! Or at least it would be if the e-shop wasn't overloaded! Way to go Bassam!!

  2. Oh my Gosh!! I love the music for the teaser! I have to know who wrote it and how I can get more! Is it the same fellow that wrote the score for the Elephants dream? Somebody please fill me in.

  3. I just watched the teaser and I really like what you're doing, Bassam! You really do take the time to explain everything in very nice and calm way. Also, I laughed out loud at the 'block of cheese' and 'bar of soap' overlays :)

  4. Darn it, i have to get this! :) good job, Bassam, though, theres nothing less that id wait from you(and Andy's dvd as well![whens that gonna come out? cant wait!]) :)

  5. "he DVDs are all open content, licensed as Creative Commons Attribute. Its videos will become available freely dowloadable as well."
Damn... I like open source :)

  6. unhappily the main reason why all are saying that they love opensource is it's cost (too bad but i love that thing also:))... but i think we need such a workshop video in blender shop like "coding Blender" or something like that...i think it would be useful for people who wants to participate in blenders development but have absolutely no knowledge how to do it (that's me:D) and are feared from dry information in these books for programming languages learning....

  7. I love open source as well...because even IF you payed, it would never be enough for what you get in return from the community.

But to make a start, I ordered that awesome DVD!!!

  8. I love open source too!... Probably because:

    a) I'm a bit of a coder so the mere idea of being to get my dirty little hands on some source code appeals to me an awful lot!!! ;) Open source people are also nice about what you do with the code, so while for example, a company that makes closed source software will patent all their methods and algorithms and stuff so nobody else can use it, open source means anybody can use it and improve on it!!
    b) I think people should have the right to pay the price they want to (i.e. donate) and while I'd recommend doing this, it's also very nice that you aren't forced into it, because for somebody like me (a student), I really can't afford to pay even a student price!! Plus you don't get the benefit of being able to use your work for anything much if you use student copies of programs!
    c) The program stands a good chance of surviving a long time - and development happens at a blistering pace anyway for popular open source software. (e.g. blender) And in my book: development = excitement!
    d) The open source community really is excellent!!

    ~epat. :)

  9. Who has done the DVD cover design? I like both this and the Peach DVD designs and I'd like to know who!
I'd also like to see a tutorial on how had he done it.. if possible! Please!

  10. What order are the videos in on the blink.tv site?

i can't figure it out it seams like they jump all over the place.

    thanks,

    Corky12190.
