  • Kingsport Tennessee, November 9,10

I'm writing to announce a Blender workshop that will take place in Barcelona between november 5-9 current year. Is a 20 hours introduction course, from 10 till 14 h. each day. Is a good start for people who wants to introduce in the Blender basics: 3d general concepts, interface and an introduction to model-materials-lighting and render.

You can learn more here (spanish language). Enmedio, who houses this workshop, is a cultural association which main goal is to promote free culture.

Kingsport Tennessee, November 9,10

Kingsport Tennessee will have a Digital Art Show and more Blender Classes. I am please to announce that the Kingsport Art Guild will be having a digital art show this December. The Kingsport Art Guild's website is where the show is listed. There has been an increase in awareness about digital art since the September Class in Blender and the Part one class will be repeated the day before (November 9) the Part two class on November 10. It will also be at the Renaissance Center on Center Street. For more information feel free to contact Byron Kindig at byron (at ) paraisoenterprises (dot) com or call (423) 863-2864

Vienna, Austria, November 24

We've mentioned this workshop before - you'll find the full details here.

Porto, Portugal, December 8/9 and 15/16

There will be two new workshops about Blender (introductory level), organized by Audiência Zero, to be hosted in Porto in the following dates:

8 - 9 December - Workshop on Animation.
15 - 16 December - Workshop on Materials and Texturing.

Trainer: Luís Belerique
Schedule: 10h00-13h00 // 14h00-18h00
Place: Cidade das Profissões (R. das Flores, 512, Porto, Portugal)

These workshops are an extension of the previous ones that were announced in Blendernation. They were so successful that they sold out rather quickly, and many people unfortunately didn't have the chance to participate in them, until now.

There's still vacancies, but the number this time is more limited because of the people that applied to the previous workshops and couldn't make it have priority in application.

So, if you want to learn Blender and have the possibility to go to the workshops, don't hesitate. ;)

For more information on the workshops and application go to our website (information about
these new workshops will be available soon).

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. If there any one with advance skills in blender in the New England area of Conn, please set up a workshop that we blend head can learn and interact in public library computers and chat. "Come on,come on people let grow"!

  2. I went to the class in Kingsport in September, and am going to Part 2 on November 10th. This class was an excellent class and Byron is well spoken, knows his stuff, and is more than willing to help. He's an asset to the community. I would encourage anyone in the area (even distant area -- we had one group come from near Atlanta, GA 5 hours away!) to come to one or both of these classes!
