While still a child in the Blender Universe of Forums, Blender-PT has already grown enough to sport his own contest.
You read right... but keep reading, cause there are prizes involved too.
UPDATE: Sybex decided to sponsor us and Tony Mullen has accepted to sign the book and send it directly to the winner.
Blender-PT has become the gathering place for most Portuguese Blender users, thought to be a few, turned out to be quite a bigger crew.
And even with such short existence alot of things already burst, like workshops and proposals for training. Things seem to be evolving at a really fast pace.
With this in mind, the maintainers decided to keep the mood up and create some more momentum, thus giving birth to this Competition.
The prizes are really good, considering there is no revenue from the Forum itself:
- First prize: Tony Mullen - Introducing Character Animation with Blender
- Second prize: Blender-PT branded T-Shirt
- Third prize: Blender stickers
The competition flows around a well know Portuguese figure, called "Zé Povinho", a creation by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro that represents the people, or the "poor guy" as some say.
The aim is for the participants to model the full character in 3D, creating their own version of "Zé Povinho".
In order to participate you need to create a new thread in the Competitions forum until the 31st of July and follow the rules posted on the competition page.
The competition starts on the 1st of August and ends on the 1st of September, make sure you don't miss it.
