Well, seems like it was yesterday that I was in Beja to give some Workshops in the Animatu Festival.
And now we have the announcement that Animatu 2007 is already kicking off, having a call for entries.
I had some nice time there and met very nice people, specially Marco Taylor and his crew. I also got to know some other of the few Portuguese Blenderheads, like Luis Belerique (Bel), MadCello and a few more (yes we are still a few).
I will post a video later on with some footage and video I brought from there, I just need the time to finish it.
But going to the real subject, Marco is calling every Blenderhead out there to submit their work (and see if this time we get an award).
Here is what he says:
Animatu 07 – digital animation festival
Held at Pax Julia - Municipal Theater of Beja (Portugal) between 17th and the 21st of October.
This Festival purpose is to reward the best works in the field.
- 3D/2D digital Shorts
- Mobile Phone Animations
- Portuguese Schools
Regulations and entry form is now available.
Deadline: June 30
More information at the official website.
So, fill out the application (its the menu that says Competition, select one of the options on the drop down list) and submit your works.
And if possible come and spend some time in Portugal with us, I'm sure you'll like it.
I don`t think there is 31st of June ;)
but anyway, thanks for the info
Fixed, made a copy paste and didn't check it.

Really liked last year's edition, lots of interesting people, like Dave Perry and Subra Krishnasamy, Rui (rcas), MadCello and some other portuguese Blenderheads, some great short films (and some other less great ones :P)...good times.
And Blender really stirred up some interest there...Can only imagine the reactions about the (then) upcoming 2.5 release eheh.
