Blender.org Gallery Updated: December 2006

Groo has been busy – not only did he finish his Advanced Fluids DVD, but he also updated the Blender.org gallery again. Go on and enjoy the best of December’s Blender art!

My favorite this month is Bassam Kurdali’s ‘Tube’, which at the same time is one of the ghastliest Blender images I’ve ever seen. I know he has been working on this one for a LONG time and the result is an amazingly rich image that just begs me to watch it and discover more details or meaning.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.

Why are the pictures of criss in there? I don’t think they’re special

These Pics are nice, but I find those from last update better trough.

Not as amazing as tube*drool* or the christmas pic*drools more* but hey,

Sweet, The gallery has been last updated only a month ago! This is Awesome.

I dont think I agree with you,Kram1032, I think these are somewhat better than last month’s.
Those are some very fine pictures.But then again, The last update was excellent too.

I remember “Tube” from Bassam’s website and he had a version of it with EXTREME detail. Of course, then it would
be 5x larger! I still love the organic skill that Bassam has shone in it!

Tube is done very well, but it’s not my taste…
I prefer more peaceful pics, like zen….
Last time, there have been more pics, like I like them.
This doesn’t mean, that I don’t like those from this update. They are very good as well.
Those, I liked from last update are (Ordered from bottom entry to top, not a valuing order)
