Blender at linux.conf.au - Help Needed

lca-poster.jpgThe Australian linux.conf.au will be held at the University of New South wales, in Sydney, Australia from Januari 15 - 20. Part of their program is the 'Open Day' on the 18th. The organisation has invited Elephants Dream lead artist Matt Ebb to give a Blender demo, but he could use your help.

Matt writes:

I've been invited, and have agreed to give a short demo of Blender / Elephants Dream at the open day, but I've recently learned that there will also be 40 or so tables set up and available throughout the day for each project to give demos and have a chat with people.

[...] I can be at a table for a short while, but I'm really busy on that day and I have to leave early. So, are there any Blender users in Sydney who would like to come down and hang out there in the afternoon? That way there won't just be a pathetic looking empty Blender desk as people come by.

    Ooh, thanks for the publicity! I know it's a bit short notice, but of course anyone is welcome to come down and say hi, it should be an interesting day. Could make it a bit of a Sydney meet-up :)

    Ammusionist, from Adelaide? me aswell =)

    I'll be down there for the festivities etc etc =D Luckily there is cheap lodging on campus so i'll take that, just an hour walk form plane so i can catch plane, hope off, walk there and stay there overnight, walk back and catch plane home.

    Hope to see any other blenderheads there! =D

    No Joke! I work like two streets down at target and live 15 minutes away. What you doing at teh base?
    Awesome there are so many aussie blender heads but, no one lives in sydney..

    dam, i'm 3 hours flight away, cant afford ticket, NOooooooooooooooooooooo
    otherwise i would of come if i had the dosh and the effort to fly over there :/

    another one from adelaide, if a car pool was setup some people might be able to make it eh? toobad i dont drive and havent any money or i woild offer =P i went to melbourne and made some great friends that way in the past for

    maybe contact some linuxsa people that are going you might be able to car pool with them
