Cicero Moraes is a freelance modeler/animator from Mato Grosso, Brasil and he has recently created a series of TV commercials for a local petroleum company. One commercial, the Desemrenho, stands out to me because of how it showcases Blender fluids.
The 3D parts of the commercials were made with Blender and the post production was done by in Adobe After Effects by the studio, Nova MÃdia Produções. Cicero says the studio has recently switched from 3DS Max to Blender and personally he only uses Linux and open source software for his productions.
Cicero likes Blender because it teaches people how to use the primitive 3D forms in correct way (only three or four sides), it is a powerful program that fits on less than 11MB and it is in constant development. Like a lot of Blender users, he is self taught "I never went to an art school or computing design class. I learned all that I use (Blender, Gimp, Perl, Linux etc) alone. The community helped me in ways that I needed. The internet is a very powerful knowledge tool."
For more about Cicero visit his web site (English translation via Google) where you can browse through his many wonderful architectural renderings as well as his traditional drawings and animaitons.

Nice! Always good seeing Blender doing some commercial stuff.
What strikes me is that the "poorest" parts of the commercial are the live footage ones...

very creative! nice PR for blender :)
This is great news. A while back there was a discussion on blenderartists.org about whether anybody was actually *using* features like the fluid sim, and so it's great to see commercial use of Blender in general, and particularly these kinds of special features. Nice work.
Fantastic! I'm also using blender to design a series of animations / bumpers for an international broadband summit being held in December. I only hope we expose more people to blender by using it for major applications such as this.
I like this project "Granja para Porcos e posteriormente para aves (20 imagens)"
Ele é Fantastico... Muito Bom seu trabalho, incrivel.
Meus parabéns pelos trabalhos,, como sempre perfeitos.
Fico cada dia mais impressionado com o poder do Blender!!

@Vinicius: yes but art school can teach you things as well. Don't discount hundreds or years of artistic evolution. Most things in art are right if they feel right, but art school can help you to see why. Although one can learn a lot on the internet, there is no substitute for an experienced human being to learn from. There are always exceptions though, especially with the determined.
Good work
Only 50% can be taught from schools.the rest 25% is learned from the people surrounding you.And the last 25% will be only achieved through self study... Although self study takes some time...
Good work
Parabéns!!! Cada dia você me impressiona mais!! Você é bom em tudo o que faz!!!

Well done, Cicero!
