The first Libre Graphics Meeting will be held on 17, 18 and 19 March 2006 in Lyon, France. It will be a melting pot, with free software graphics developers and artists meeting each other, exchanging ideas and tips, and planning the future of free graphics. The meeting will bring together developers and users of the best of free software graphics applications - GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Blender and more.
On Saturday the 18th Rui Campos will host a presentation about Blender and Project Orange. The schedule suggests that the first public airing of Elephant's Dream, the movie that Orange is producing, will be then. I'm not sure that the Orange team is going to make that date, though...
Someone will send us a nice report with some pictures of Rui's presentation, right?

I sure I will find other Blender Heads there that can take some shots of it ;) .
It would be cool if they could record some sessions, but I think it isn't planned yet.
Cheerz,

Anyway, forgot to mention it, I will make a daily report on things, so I will eventually post it here, so people have an up to date feedback on things going on there.

That would be great Rui!
Unfortunately Lyon is to far away... :(
Hi Rui,
cool! Looking forward to reading it. Good luck with your presentation!

It's very likely I'll be at Lyon during the LGM, but I'm not quite sure on which day. I'll come with a photo camera so that we'll have a few shots if I'm here for your presentation, Rui! ;)
If someone can make it there, great, I really like to meet other BlenderHeads.

Hi,
I'll be in Lyon for the 3 days. I've been living 15 years in this town, so if Rui or someone else need a guide, i'll be there ;)
raphael: mail me at "lgm [AT] ruicampos.com" and we can talk a bit about this :) .
