Official Honda DXF Models Available for Download

5

hondaSonix points out on Elysiun that Honda has posted heaps of freely available DXF models of 20 products (cars, racing bikes and even a robot) on their website.

I'm not sure about the license (maybe a Japanese reader can help out), but I'm sure you can have lots of fun with these. The only downsite: you have to download each model part by part and put them together yourself. Hmmm... this brings back memories of childhood when I used to build airplane models :)

You can get the models here, and Blender will load them with the regular 'Open..' function (no need to use import..).

  1. That is a great find! The models are indeed in parts, which is both a drag, but also pretty cool. I can only hope that other manufacturers do the same.

  2. Hello,

for me the models won't open in Blender. I tried the OPEN and the IMPORT function, both failed... nothing happens. What am i doing wrong? Please help.

    Thanks in advance

  3. It seems they're copyright owned by the company, and its affiliated companies, but allowed for personal private use. So, probably not for professional use unless prior permission is obtained from the company. http://www.honda.co.jp/legal/ (and translated by Google).
