I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  2. Blender still impresses, just a lot more. But it is the folks behind it that are the real stars.

I use to do AE cadd. Can't get a job doing it any more, so I guess it time to struggle through learning 3D, which is something I've wanted to do for a long time. None of my former employers saw 3D as a tool. I see it as one for the right place, but Blender and Linux make me very happy.
I love the grand cooperation that resulted in a very powerful tool. After seeing Elephants Dream I was even more impressed. (I might add that I feel often like Dave Phillips; that the film score is complimented by the video and I was not disappointed by Jan's score, except that I wish it were longer!) When I find that elusive job I will order the DVD so I can show off what Open Source is capable of.

BTW, I was told by an engineer that Linux was a "dead OS and that Linux was mere rebellion against M$." This was back in 1997. I'm so glad he was wrong!

    Great work!

    Thanks

The link you posted is not a download site, it's just a search engine, and I can't download anything from it.
