This is a very good book.

I am presently working my way through the book and am finding it ok to follow and well written.

I have recommended this book to several people without hesitation.

I look forward to more blender books.

@Tony, of course i'm registered in blender.jp, but i'm not japanese (just like you).

About a some kind of Blender-related event, i'm on hand too because can be a great opportunity! ;-)

I think a priority target will be the Anime industry; i saw often they have Lightwave and Maya for 3d, and brake in can be a big step! Blender have a lack in cell shading and edges rendering, but in the other side this problem is easy to be gone around.

@Kawa, another Tokyo Blender user, great! Are you registered in blender.jp? Several of us have often talked about holding some kind of Blender-related event in Japan. I'd love to do something like that.

Hopefully BTAS will be out in Japanese eventually, but I don't know yet what the story is with that.

I'm amped to get this book! Just got to wait for my sister to send it to me from the UK...
Shipping to South Africa from Amazon is ridiculous - and by that I mean the shipping would have cost almost twice as much as the book...

mjordan, I'm afraid I don't know much about that. Ton deals with the publisher directly on those matters, but I have requested that some sample copies be sent to the Blender Foundation for them to have a look at it. I think the decision will depend on whether it's cost effective for the book to be sold there, since it is published in America and must be shipped to the Netherlands first and then shipped again from the Netherlands. I'd be very pleased to have it sold at the e-shop myself. We'll have to see how it works out.
