The Detail Library

First of all, thanks a lot, we feel very honored to show up at Blender Nation and hope to be seeing again here with good news. And talking about good news, we would like to report some updates on the project that changed a bit in the last years, so the post can be updated if possible.
1- The reason why the project is on going for the last 3 years is that it has grown a lot since then, it’s no longer about the production of just one short movie, but about the collective creation of a series of narrative products. In which the short that we’ve been developing would be the first narrative to be inserted in the virtual space of the Library (that would be organized in the form of a virtual island-city: San Corisco)
2 – Casa dos Quadrinhos was an important partner in the begining of the project, but nowadays we’re working with Abuzza Filmes Productions and NGO Contato.
3 – The objectives sustain the direction towards the use of free and Open Source software, but this aspect has also grown, covering a full educational program to be developed alongside the productions.

We couldn’t update the blog earlier because we where in the process of talking about fund raising and weren’t sure about the destiny of the project – that it was decided only a few days ago. And now the blog About has been updated.

So, again, thank you very much for the support.

All the best

From their blog posts, it seems their project is already at least 3 year old. They also call their project “Paper Orange” after Blender’s Orange Project with some explanations in their project page.
