Fresh Blender News, Every Day
You can support BlenderNation by putting the following buttons on your site. As we may be getting a *real* logo in the near future, we ask you not to copy the image files to your own webserver, but to use the provided HTML code. We currently have two sizes. If you need another size, just let us know.
| Mini button | |

| Medium button | |

But why settle for only a button when you can put the actual BlenderNation headlines on your page? Insert a few lines of HTML in our pages to provide your site's visitors with up-to-date Blender news. Again, we have two sizes but if you need another format just let us know.

http://www.in.net/~clements/macstuff_news.html
and
http://www.in.net/~clements/macstuff_software_p2.html
FYI
the smallest link did not work, for some reason, i didnt take the time to debug it,
the next size will be fine anyway in my page layouts
good luck, and thanks for Blender News

Why when I'm trying to put the news on my website, I'm getting this error in js console:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Object cannot be created in this context" code: "9" nsresult: "0x80530009 (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR)" location: "http://www.blendernation.com/syndication/feed2js.php?style=1 Line: 3"]
What dose it mean?
Hey Masater,
please tell me which browser/OS you use and point me to the URL that throws the error. That makes it easier to find the cause ;-)
Cheers,
Bart
Problem solved, It seems that Mozilla firefox can't execute the script when it's in blabla.xhtml file, I've changed the extension to html so it isn't parsed as xml and everything looks good on my harddrive and on my web server. And I won't give link becouse the web is still unfinished and not reachable form the net, but I'll let you know the URL as soon as the web will be published :)
Can someone tell me how I can embed these links in a flash site?
Can someone tell me how I can embed the headlines in a flash site?
mmhhhhhh, actually embedding it into flash is not so easy, I think that putting on something by parsing BNation's XML feed and FLash's XML parser is the only solution right now.
Anyways I was thinking of adding a flash box/component to this list of utils, just pay some patience ;-)
Hi,
additionally to the 160px button I added the RSS-feed with style 3 (!) as on blender.org, because it fits best to my index-page.
I hope, that's okay for you guys.

Added at http://blender.guanajuato.net
Good Job Guys!
:)
Hey, is there any way for us to style the headlines(with css)? Do you guys use the Feedburner thing called Buzzboost? Because then it would be even easier.
Oh, figured it out. Looks great, guys! Added at http://openspace.opticallyminded.com
i added your news feed in my blender tutorial-blog
http://binder-eddie.blogspot.com/. thanks its looks great

Hi there, I have just added a link to th rss feeds. http://www.wrbcreations.com. I am not sure, to veiw this site, you may need to install the japanese IME pack for windows… I am not sure though, please try it out.
Thanks for the link though.
how to put it into a phpBB based site?
@Eddie: you have to put the HTML code in the templates I guess. I can't help you with that though..
Hello, I added a button to my site at http://www.orangemarblestudio.com
Thanks for the link, keep up the good work!
Hi,
Two questions:
1. How do you do that image opening thing from the small images in the posts?
2. What is the status of the logo for the site?
Thanks,
shul
1) I use a script called 'LightBox' for it.
2) No update yet, too much work to worry about a logo ;-)
Bart
Hey Bart. Added one to http://polorix.net/ (I host a Free Public File Uploader for blender users, so you'll see some traffic once it's more recodnized :-) )

added to my site too!
Hi Guys, just getting into Blender and breaking my brains learning the tricks. Anyway I find its brilliant. I have put a link from my sites homepage http://www.media-slave.co.uk to here.
I added a link at http://semicuro.sourceforge.net
i added the medium button at http://lifeofneelakantan.wordpress.com/
Cheers
I added the medium button to http://www.blenderunderground.com. Not too much traffic right now, it's brand new, and it will help when I actually add some content.
I tried the Regular RSS box, but had some weirdness with text poking out to the right (I think it was my Wordpress theme stylesheet imposing itself, but I'm not sure).
Hey I have a link to you guys on my site already http://www.ultravisual.co.uk/Links.html but I'm gonna change it to one of these buttons now….great stuff!!!!
It might be useful if the php generating the javascript from the RSS feed for the headlines had a simple way of changing the width of the output because neither of the default styles are particularly suited to display in the sidebar of blogger etc… I tried changing the width with the css parameter and passing it a different rss-box but I only managed to get it to change the border colour… I'm no web designer, and I haven't got time to sit and learn php and javascript before I can adjust the width - for now, I altered my blogger template to make the sidebar bigger but it might be useful for other people too if there was an easier option which didn't affect the layout of their blog… (well I suppose I could have used the online version of feed2js and put the script and css template into the blogger panel directly). Anyway, it might be useful if there was a width parameter, and perhaps also useful if the num parameter actually did something and the default styles didn't override it… as you use your own copy of feed2js, it shouldn't be too hard to modify - provided you know some php, unlike me…
just my 2 pennies worth…
~epat. :)
@epat: try this:
Here's how to apply your own styling: http://blogs.feedburner.com/help/buzzboost/using_buzzboost/popup/
Is that better?
