Your work looks brilliant & im probably gonna get moaned at here for bein in the wrong place but please please can someone answer this for me-is there any way I can add material/colour only to Selected Areas instead of the whole object?

That movie is great. It seems better with music instead of sound.
I liked it. I wish I had the time or skills to make something like that.

Very good movie!

And the animatic (animated storyboard) is very interesting and well done. It is a good example.
