Siggraph Fast Approaching

Siggraph is just around the corner, officially starting July 30th, featuring Blender like never before since Blender will be a part of the Open Source Pavilion along with Uni-verse and Gnome/GIMP. The pavilion will feature a wide range of tools – Blender, GIMP, Inkscape, and even Jahshaka. Can’t make it you say? Then be prepared to live vicariously through us as we do video reports from Siggraph everyday of the exhibition! We’ll be posting to BlenderNation from the conference with video of interviews, news from the conference floor, interesting techniques, and anything else that might catch the interest of Blender users all over the world. So keep on checking BN for Siggraph video posts.

But wait, you say you will be there? Then the Blender Birds of a Feather (BoF) meeting is open for you to attend to meet other Blender users and learn about open source movie creation. The Blender BoF starts at 10:15 AM – noon on Sunday July 30th in Room 213 then reconvenes at 1:30 to 5 PM to cover movie creation in Room 213 of the Boston Convention Center. Then on Monday July 31st, you can’t miss the VERSE-Networked Content Creation Pipelining meeting from 1 to 2 PM also in Room 213.

Then the exhibition starts on Tuesday August 1st. If you’ll be at the exhibition, you have to stop by to meet up with everyone at the booth to talk shop and enjoy the demos that will be presented on “the big screen.” The Open Source Pavilion will be both #1527.

So stay tuned to BN for video of Siggraph, and if you are attending – we’ll see you there!
