Three quick questions:

1: Is the Quicktime Animation codec ok?

2: Do you want widescreen or 3:4 ratio?

3: I assume we only creative-commons-licence the video, not the origonal .blend(s)?

I’ll send you a nice, soundless 20-second clip soon!

Is the Creative Commons License going to allow for "commercial use" of content on the disk?.. That would exlude most of what I do at work?

I loved the demoreel from last year, and now I am working for something to submit, but I have a few questions:
Is 16:9 (720×425px) content useable, or is 4:3 (720x576) content preferable?
Is Creative Commons-Non commercial-No derivatives with premission to be used in the Demoreel and commercially as a part of the demoreel an acceptable license?
What's your the best length of an animation? 10sec,15sec,20sec,30,sec?

Man it sounds a good idea,

I think I will be prepared for the next year season only, but I can say that in this way we will improve a lot our knowledge of 3D and the real Blender 3D possibilities ...

Thanks you all,

Tio Ilmo

The majority (that is, all) of the work I've got is NTSC resolution/framerate. I'm not sure it's practical for me to re-render the pieces I'd like to submit. Would you prefer to do the conversion to PAL yourself, or should I make a PAL-ready version with my video editing app?

It depends on your hardware. We've got three DVD players here, one plays PAL fine, one won't touch it, and one fail to display the color of PAL DVDs. The one that won't even try is the most expensive one, but that seems to be par for the course -- the bigger "name-brand" a player is, the fewer features you get with that fancy nameplate.
An NTSC disk would be nice, of course.
