    That's a cool graduation project.
If you keep in mind how hard it is to animate objects in Blender.

Too bad that he didn't work more on the lighting and the materials.

  3. 3 ROUBAL

Sorry too… I found the link at the bottom on the page, but I didn't found the movie (no screen available).

Well, sorry for the double post. I have recently reinstalled all my system, and I had forgotten to reload the Flash Player.

Now it works, and I have seen the movie. Nice animation. The characters are fine, and the idea is fun.

Wow, that's an amazing piece of work. Everything fits, nice plot, music that integrates, good editing, attention for the credits. Congrats!

How can that piece suddenly appear on the moon? xD

Very Nice! Wonderful! The short piece has a good story and their search (showing them looking in different places) is a wonderful idea. A well thought out, well executed film.

Hard to animate objects in Blender? I don't really agree. Nice movie, anyhow.

  12. 12 samf

Can someone post it on youtube? I don't seem to be able to use google video.

The thing I've liked most was the acting of the characters, one can easely say what goes in their minds, very good ;)
The thing I didn't like at wall was the walking, is really not good …terrible :(
The ligthing is OK, considering that is a one person Job.
    Button Line:

In response to AniCator, actually, animation in blender is quite intuitive. I have used 3DStudio Max, Maya and Lightwave in the past and I found the animation system in Blender to be my favourite. And now, I use blender all the time.

@atm-matt have you tried to download and instal the latest Adobe Flash Player ? It was the problem for me.

@Kram1032 : Maybe the robot is coming from the moon, or maybe the characters went on the moon and they lost the puzzle part there… or maybe there is no other reason than making us thinking about this question !o)

Relatively well done piece of work.

My favorite bit of animation was at the start – with the guy reading. I think that was quite realistically done.

The lighting and textures *could* have been slightly better, but I suppose in the interest of saving time, both in rendering and creation, these have been cut down slightly.

The sounds were mostly well matched, and the camera shots and editing were quite good.

And it had a relatively good, if brief, storyline – despite the fact that it ended with finding a freakishly huge puzzle piece which couldn't have even fit in the same room, let alone in the same puzzle.

Was that a boy or a girl? :P

  18. 18 samf

I would love to see a short interview with the maker.
What are his own opinions on this animation? How long did it take him to make it? etc.

  23. 23 Amir Taaki

The plot and characters were really boring.

  24. 24 Brian A. Dalio

Amusing short. By the way, the character's name is 'Makoto', not 'Matoko'. You might want to edit the description above.

  25. 25 SomeOtherFellow

How did that puzzle piece get there!

    Nice animation XD
