@Campbell - no worries. Yowsers.....ok, my job is sucky compared to yours.......2000 frames!? Yikes!
I do PHP, Javascript, CSS, Actionscript myself, exclusively for one guy, for his online job management system.
I'm thinking of doing some Python in Blender. I'm SUPER itching for a half-decent fire/fluid simulator. Sorry...the present one TOTALLY kicks butt, but I'm just trying to do some decent fluidy-style flame in blender and I'm hitting some roadblocks, so I'd like to get into the code and see what happens. Maybe I'll only get as far as some neat add-ons, but see how we go.....
Have a good one, Campbell and I'll catch ya later.

P.S. By the way, you been following any of the cricket over there? Did you hear about Gilchurch's retirement? Huge news....he's playing a few one-dayers now and will be finishing up soon...
Peace out.

@Cathy: But he's an Aussie AND a developer.....you can't hold THAT against him! :P (Speaking totally unbiasedly, of course! :P)

Great interview, Campbell! I could TOTALLY relate when you said "...when something goes wrong, I hear someone call out to me....". I do web development and my boss is always doing that!

Keep up the good work, and it's good to see one of the Aussies on board.

Not only is Campbell cool, Sago's best friend, a hero, a nice interviewee, interesting, in a witness protection program, and has a tumour, he's pretty cute (and sexy) too. Although he is becoming increasingly hairy again :( .
He now also has an ego the size of a truck - don't pander to him too much guys, he'll stop working and spend all day just googling his own name. LOL.
Campbell YOU ARE THE BEST!

lol... Rocketship.

I think Campbell's prediction on render time is more accurate than Ton's. I remember watching Ton's interview and he said it would take a day to render the movie... I couldn't tell if he was joking or not...

Anyway, great interview!

What's up with the lighting? It looks like Cambell's in a witness protection program...

Hard to see, but it looks like he was running Ubuntu with default panel placement ^_^

Remember, if Sun ever isn't there for you guys, I'd happily run a boinc client on my machine for an open movie project.

Very interesting this part! Thank you Bart and Campbell.

Big to SUN, they rock!

cheers

note: It would have been funny to render this project on Bartonâ„¢ processors.
Just imagine the slogan: "Powered by Barton!"
Okay, if we had 6 more months, it would be. ^_-
