Papervision3D Collada Basics tutorial by Lee Brimelow
Learn how to prepare models in Blender (including UV mapping), export them to Collada and import them into Papervision3D in this 22 minute videotutorial. Very well made, very informative.
Just thought you might like to know that Lee Brimelow of Adobe has created a nice and simple tutorial on his site www.gotoandlearn.com about importing collada models from blender and using them in papervision3d flash projects. I personally think this is great as the flash community is huge and lee has a great following and he encourages people through this tute to download and use blender!!

I had watched this great tutorial. Has the great quality of the other gotoandlearn.
But it would be better to present more complex like character animation export with blender.
I have searched about it, but can’t find it. Only tutorials talking about simple objects
like this. If anyone can help thank you!

Just replace model.dae with your own Collada model (must be named “model.dae”) and be sure to replace tex.png with your own UV map (named “tex.png”).

Its is just soo easy to see that this guy is new at using Blender :D
Great Tutorials. I am also new to this and make no apology. I have a problem with the portability. Works great in FlashDevelop (just like the video). When I try to carry the files over to the Flash CS4 IDE though, I run into bother. The collada bitmap cannot be found and generates output errors. It creates a swf file ok, but just appears as wireframes.
I’m watching the video now and am about ready to close it just because he’s pounding the damn keys so hard.
