If you're learning how to rig a character, take a look at OSCAR. For the faint of heart: OSCAR leaves no doubt he's a male character ;-)

I've made available for free download, "OSCAR" a fully rigged character for Blender 3D. You are free to use OSCAR for any personal, learning or commercial works. The only stipulation is that you cannot sell the OSCAR mesh or derivatives of it. Apart from that you can do what you please with him.
