After seeing a replacer script by Jazzdalek on BlenderArtists forum, i knew that I wanted to try it out: animating using cut-out replacement animation. And i was one of those Blender Heads that used Blender just to play around, i've never done a huge project in Blender, well, this was the project for all that.
For a look behind the scenes, check out this 'Making of' video and read Phetogo's description of the production process.

Really good!
Nice song, and nice beat =)
What was the budget for this ? I'm asking because I'm into animated videoclips
too. Producing videos mainly for Hip-hop / Reggae artists.
By the way, I saw a movie from South Africa, called Jerusalema, I loved it =D
I'm native from Mozambique, so... we're kind a neighbours =D
Keep working, good job ;D
Oh by the way, this was my last I've done for my sister:

I've used some trees from Pablo Lizardo, to fast things up =)
Like the music and nice video-style!
Congratulations on a great job! I enjoyed it very much. I like the music, and video, and the very clever concept.
Nice work!!! Really hard work done here! Congrats!!!
Wow, thanks all of you for your kind words.
The budget for this was $0000. Zip. i just went out with my camera and shot stuff, then i worked on the vfx.
It may sound strange but i've always wanted to be featured on blendernation, so thank you Bart for making this dream of mine happen.
To Jahmaica and Jarred: With the advent of films like District 9, I hope south african/african vfx artists continue working hard and keep their dreams alive.
Keep at it.
Thank you all
Fantastic job visualizing, filming, masking, match moving, compositing, color correction, everything. Awesome.
