Montreal Blender Conference Registration Open
The organization of the Montréal Blender Conference have opened a website with new information and they’re asking everyone to register. Attendance is free so if you live in the area I recommend that you pay them a visit!
Our website just went on line. We are asking for people who’d like to come to the conference to please register on the website by filling the registration form and then confirming their registration with the automatic email sent to their mailbox. It’s really important for us that people register and fill the form correctly because it will help us organise a conference that will be interesting and fun! Also we are looking for people to make presentation, so if you think you can explain about a subject related to blender be sure to fill the form at the bottom of the registration page!
Anyway be sure to read the news on the news page of the conference website! More updates soon so stay tuned!

hey you forgot to say if we can do it in French and/or English

You sure can send me an email in french and I’ll reply in french if you understand better that way. Althought, the conference will be held in English because, from my experience of the past years, everyone present understood english quite decently and were able to talk and discuss with the other easely. it’s also way easier to plan everything using a single language ;)
Alors, si pour être sur que tu as compris, oui tu peux me répondre en francais! Ça va me faire plaisir de te réécrire en francais mais la conférence même sera tenue en anglais seulement puisque selon mon expérience des dernières années, tout le monde comprennait l’anglais. C’est aussi plus facile pour nous de tout planifier en un seul language! Merci de ta compréhension!
J’aimerais faire une suggestion pour la conférence, j’ai téléchargé les divx de l’année dernière et
j’avoue qu’on ne voit pas bien ce qui se passe sur le projecteur, donc je suggère que lorsque quelqu’un
donne un tutoriel sur comment faire quelque chose avec blender il serait plus judicieux de filmer l’écran
avec un logiciel comme camtasia ou snag it pour le mettre en ligne comme ca on aurait une meilleur qualité
de présentation pour les fans de blender.

En effet tu as raison, la qualité des videos étaient pas super. Nous avions égalemment enregistré l’écran avec VNC mais nous avons manqué de patience lorsque le temps est venu de mixé le son/video de la caméra et le VNC ensemble…Mais inquiete toi pas, on travail la dessus pour cette année!

Just the other understand, d.j.spiritdual was saying that the video quality wasn’t really good since filming the projector wasn’t the best thing..but this year we’re working on having a better way of recording the presentations (recording the screen + voice directly).

Darn, I still wish we had blender events here in the US. Some where in the Salt Lake City area possibly???
