Sounds like a pretty cool app. Reminds me a bit of Pixar's standard man which was used to model all the all the extras in the Incredibles. Well am about to enter a human modelling contest so I will find just how well I can model a person after that who knows maybe I chip in I will definately download the current version and play around with it over the weekend.

that is, using MakeHuman is fine, but I should not use it to replace learning how to model a human. ;D

Sorry, don't have any human model submissions, but looking forward to trying out the program once the new version is released! Using the program is not excuse for learning how to model a human, but rather another useful resource to the community. cya

Brian Treacy--I don't think that's Larry, it's the Snoodle from A Snoodle's Tale.

MakeHuman is an excellent app, and the user interface keeps getting better. If they could get some artists chipping in to help with their ethnicity database, the result could be awesome. (I'd help if I could, but unfortunately I'm better on the tech side and it looks like they are all set there...)

A MakeVeggie fork would be nifty :-). And how about a MakeMonkey, for some friends for Suzanne?

MakeHuman is a great project. It has definitely developed over the years. I remember back when it was a Blender script and the only thing you could modify was the character's face.
