A fluid simulation with 12.000.000 particles

Mitsuma has created a monster fluid simulation with 12 million particles!

[It] Took me some time but it is finally done. I present you my biggest simulation to date.
Watch it in 4K60fps if possible, even on a 1080p screen in fullscreen it looks a lot better!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). Now if that was optimized with some particle surfacing there would be almost no need to switch to other 3D packages for most fluid sims (Realflow, Houdini – is actually pretty damn procedural so can’t live without right now, nParicles, etc)

I am not a huge sim guy, and I haven’t much experience with particle meshing, but my understanding is that Cube Surfer is pretty efficient at meshing particle sims.

One of these days when I build me a computer with a TB of ram and a few E5-2699V3 processors, I’m going to make one with 24,000,000 particles and show this guy what’s up.
