Lecture series for Beginners by Claas Kuhnen

These movies are for beginners introducing them into modeling, animate, and render with Blender for the product design major here at Kendall College. With the progression of this semester more movies will be created and available.
In modeling, subdivision surface modeling with mirror, and array modifier is a strong subject matter to create organic product surfaces.

In rendering a simple material as well as multi-layered material will be covering utilizing the internal render engine and compositor post-production for color correction and finishing effects like depth-of-field and glare. In addition, external render engines are being covered such as Yaf(a)ray and VRay.

Animation will cover basic joint to armature (bone) animation appropriate for products including only joints, and springs. A small section will also be spend on particle system and blend shapes for flow simulations / animations.

The goal of this project is to establish a somewhat complete video tutorial collection which deals with product modeling, texturing, and rendering by the end of this semester. The movies reflect mainly my own working method and experience. So please feel free to drop a line for any comments or suggestions.
