Yep. My fault.. kind of. I use "Tab Mix Plus" and usually keep on "force open new tab" when a link accesses "a new site" which is supposed to work only when the domain changes. Their bug - not yours.

Looks really nice! Congratulations on a great new site! The menu for some reason likes opening up everything in new tabs, but that might just be me.

Yeah, I would second the thing about ads. I'm running FF 2 and a lot of those things look like links to actual pages about logging in, or donating to them but are just pop-up ads. It really negatively impacts browsability.

"The site looks good, but that advertisment in the top left hand corner is HIDDEOUS! I can't even close the damn thing. Arg. Nor move it out of my way to see the page links beneath it. Is it absolutely necessary??? Well, I know it is not. So I beg, PLEASE remove it or put it somewhere else at least. I don't care about the ADs but I do care about usability. By the way, I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.6"

Hmm.. I don't see any ads that I can't close.. Do you mean those ads that pop up when you move your mouse over the lines that have double underlining? I suggest that you upgrade your firefox to the latest version, which is 2.0.0.3. Then install "Adblock plus" and "Adblock Filterset.G Updater" from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=adblock+plus&status=4

That will prevent those pesky ads from showing...

Otherwise, seriously, the site rocks. I definately put in my donation earlier while the site was going through it's ups and downs a few months back....It's worth every penny, even if I never use anything from the site! I'm sure someone else will.

A good working model repository and material repository are highly needed to broaden blenders userbase i think. So good luck and go on!

When the sites have stabelized, enough on site features and enough models/materials, they should be cross-integrated into blender so that you can easiely submit your models/materials and fetch them vice versa from within blender. Sounds alot like webservice and python eh? ;)

Would it be good to add stuff from the Elephants Dream there? There are some nice basic things, like jars and a table and a very nicely textured carpet, for example, not only crazy mechanical birds :) Oh and nice animated wire sockets.. I think the license is permissive so that anyone is free to upload from ED to e.g. BMR, given the attribution is put correctly.

Did someone start uploading already? Or does ED already work ok as a repository itself within the limits the material itself sets for reusability?
