Lakalaka:

About the auction. The person is free to sell it as long as he provides the source and says it is licensed under the GNU.

He doesn't have permission to use the pictures from Blender.org e.g the grapes and the car without permission and i somehow feel he hasn't gathered permission from the artists involved for that.

He also might not have permission to use the Blender logo

I might be completely wrong but this is what i gathered from the article about selling blender about 6 months ago

Funny thing about the "Why does the .B.blend not have a 4-split view" story.

It was me who once made the "reference" .B.blend for inclusion in the release, and I introduced the 4-way split as default back then. It was rolled back by someone else a few versions later because "Blender is not 4-split" :)

With no offense intended towards Mathias, I have to disagree with him about the GUI. Blender has the best GUI of any program I've ever seen. In my opinion, the interface could not get any better. However, there are plenty of things Blender is still missing to be able to compete with some of the more aged 3D Content Creation Suites.

Out of curiosity... How old is Mathias?

"I have my struggles with her like every teenager does with their mother"

"It sounds quite odd for a teenager like me to speak so highly of my mother, but she is truly great at this"

>"Just altering a few little things to follow the standards set by both 3D and non-3D applications will make a huge difference for Blender, without necessarily compromising the differences that makes Blender great."

Oh dear, not that "make Belnder like other apps" crap again. Altering those things is exactly what would compromise the differences that makes Blender great.

The usual 4 view 3D setup is stoopid. Keep the 1 nice big view and add some top, front, side and perspective buttons for the twits who can't learn 4 simple keyboard commands.

Sorry to gripe. Mathias's work is great.

You're a very thoughtful kid, Mathias. Choosing "blendein'" then playin' games is quite rare even among people much older than You. Respect!
