I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. I really love the render, and I don't want to ruin anything, but keep in mind, that DNA paths are different in length. Though.. I might be unaware that is the author's view of steampunk DNA.

    • Great point. It's also an offset double helix with minor and major grooves, not a single one as shown here. This is an awesome concept! However, I was going to use is for a biology-related intro and they'd laugh me off the stage if I used this. Nerds are like that.
