I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It's really hard to create realistic food and this is example of a good render. Only thing that bothers me is the red apples - they look realistic but unconnected to the scene itself - like a cut from another image.
    Besides that - great work!

  2. appart from the apples and the ?crossoant? I liked best the very realistic orange juice. how did you make the bubbles?
    and is this cycles?

  3. Thank's for your comments guys, yes it is Cycles and yes is very hard to make realistic food!! That image is the render number 50 or something :P. And was the best of them, although as you say is still far from perfect.

The models and textures are from http://www.designconnected.comThe juice is a combination of a translucent shader with a texture that simulates the bubbles and has a gradient to increase the effect of the sss.
