The new Image Browser is way cool, it allows to preview textures inside other .blend files and more…
But it isn't finished yet, so it won't be in this release.

I still think you can load an image using the image browser by clicking the CTRL button before pressing the open, but I guess it should be only in the Image area and no longer from the texture panel…

Dunno, can't test it here.

The Image browser has to be used with sense of humour, it is not meant to work at all!
It has been hidden from the code as selection method for that reason. A complete new system is being worked on.

So I guess the imagebrowser is removed from 2.43? But it will be back some day after 2.43 with better code, I guess.

I love the tension that is built waiting for the next version… it'll be great!! Forgive me but I had a hard time trying to find where to post this but when loading an image file for a texture in the texture panel the ctrl-LMB no longer brings up pictures to chose from. I kinda liked that option myself. Is it a thing of the past or is this a real bug?

I can hardly wait for the final release *shiver*
only problem is, holidays in austria ended yesterday :(
at least in some parts of austria… so I'll have to wait until I have time

however, I am reloading the page every ten minutes ;)
