Ton visited Joeri today and brought him the first Elephants Dream DVDs.
Joeri, who prepared the DVD masters, comments on BlenderArtists:
Ton just brought me my ED dvd's. They look great. I was a bit worried the dvd prints would be messy, but they are great. The sleeve could use a little more saturation and a lot more logos (and is alas missing my name) and a better… It's great.
The PAL version also plays the movie… What more do I want? Nothing! The movie looks very good, techinical/mpeg quality I mean. I knew that ofcourse, but its always nice to see the real duplicated thing not stopping in the middle of the playback. Sound is realy great…
And, good news for all of you who are waiting for their DVD to arrive:
As I understood most of the dvd are packet and will go on the mail this week, so I hope that the ones who ordered a copy will soon enjoy their copy as much as I do.
Me, I'm gonna make sure my DVD player is in working condition and I'll be waiting by the mailbox ;-)
Update: Ton has posted an update on the Orange blog; the DVD's have just been picked up by the courier.

But,… 4 and 5 may are sortof holidays in the netherlands, so I think you'd better start counting from monday.

Update: Ton just posted on the Orange blog that the DVD's have been shipped.
Do you think they'll be here (Germany) by Saturday? I sure hope so, since i'll be gone for two weeks after that…

When I purchase the DVD in the blender-shop now, will I get DVD also within a week? Are there enough DVDs?
panzi: I don't know if you'd get it within a week, but yes, there are enough DVDs left.

Matt: well i won't get it within a week, because I forgot to go to the bank IN TIME (oh! its after 4:00 p.m.! the bank has closed! damnit!) to make the bank transfer (don't have a telebanking account). So I will make the bank-transfer on monday.
Received mine this morning. Thanks for the fast delivery, girls!!! Have watched it and it's AWESOME!! Thanks everyone who worked so hard on this. It's an inspiration to see what can be achieved with Blender, other OpenSource software and a good team-spirit.
Made the bank-transfer today. I wonder how long it will take. :)
