"Drone" is an impressive experimental short by Andreas Fischer, made with Blender and After Effects.
Andreas writes:

My name is Andreas and I am a designer / art director from Berlin. About 4 months ago, while I was writing my diploma thesis, I started learning Blender to do some 3d visualizations. I now have used the gathered knowledge to created a short experimental animation in Blender (composited in After Effects), which I wanted to show you.

Keep up the good work,

Andreas

Cool work. Say, for the soundtrack, is that NI's Reaktor (i.e. the Space Drone generator)?

Great effect and use of Blender's tools. Just that face made it look like beginners work. Rest is pretty amazing!
