Another hilarious 2D animation by Albinal (see his previous work too).
He writes:
I’ve just finished two animations about the perils of taking and dealing drugs! The animations were required for the ACPO Drugs Conference but also for use on the Avon and Somerset Constabulary youth website.

Only mugs, don’t risk with drugs or what?
Do you know why alcohol is legal, and drugs are just thrown into 1 stupid dark group of SOMETHING?
Because alcohol makes more money, same as nikotin.
So congrats to joining this bussiness.
I don’t think this is funny at all, it’s dis-informing and harming, since every kid who sees this will just laugh and know ‘that drugs are bad’, and he/she ’should try besides mugs also all drugs’.

if other drugs where consumed the same amount as alcohol and nicotine the would be a far bigger problem…
That’s not to say that alcohol and nicotine aren’t a problem…

this is not a documentary, but it depict in a funny mode an aspect of our society…
i think the “harming” part is correct: a casual alcohol user (like me) is not in danger, a casual drug user it is, i’m correct?
If you search “Brenda’s Poisonous Pastime” or albinal in this site there is a video on the alcohol use…

well, the most important part is left out:
How they feel when they don’t get their drugs.
Nice animation style though.
Didn’t like it personally because the video overall, because it was so over-educational and nothing original about it.

Nice Propaganda video. Not much to do with reality, but I really like the 2d style of animation.
I like the animation, I’m just not a fan of the character design. So repulsive!
But I did like the message and the light hearted humour on a serious subject.

Nice work, good style.. too bad about some of the propaganda.. “Only mugs fire scientists who accurately report on drugs not being as dangerous as the UK government is making them out to be!” could be the title for his next animation? heh heh ;-)
Excellent animation work, it’s cool to see Blender being used for 2D animation. The narration is clever, too; nice use of alliteration (e.g. “seriously sad soul who steals to subsidise his supply of smack”).

Albinal’s animation style is hilarious and a great combination with the voice-over, just like the earlier animation “Brenda’s Poisonous Pastime” and the Fat Club video. Looking forward to the next one!
