Ian Elsner is sharing some of his thoughts on modeling and animating while working on his movie, 'Eros', in a series of video monologues. Interestingly enough, he recorded three episodes while on holiday in Greece and China.

A very good video tutorial has been released by Montage Studio, showing the entire process for modeling a Lowpoly character with Blender, for using in game projects. The video has a total running time of approximately 50 min, and it`s in high quality 1024 x 768.

Well-known animator Daniel Martinez Lara from Pepeland.com has started experimenting with Blender, and he has already posted a way cool video-tutorial on using normal nodes in the compositor to achieve real-time lighting (the tutorial is meant to play without sound, in case you're wondering).
We were all excited to be contacted by Daniel and he was kind enough to answer a few of our burning questions about his work and how it involves Blender.

Kernon has been steadily creating new videotutorials. And even though he's a writer here at BlenderNation, he's either too shy or too modest (I'm voting for the latter one) to publish about any of them! Anyway, here's his latest tutorial: creating glint effects in Blender with Halo effects. The method allows for exact placement of glints in your images.

Its an incredible time to get into Blender, especially with all of the available learning resources. Lets look at one of these resources. A head modeling training DVD from Jonathan Williamson (aka:mr_bomb) that covers every aspect of modeling the female head. You may remember Jonathan's head and ear modeling videos well this is a leap above that and we'll take an insiders look at what can be found on this excellent resource.
When we first heard about this DVD we pinned Jonathan down to ask him a few questions under the spotlight.

You may remember David Revoy from his short 'Little Fairy'. He has now published a series of videotutorials on character design. In no less than 9 separate tutorials (most of them around 9 minutes long), David takes you through the entire process of drawing, modeling, texturing and rendering a little Dragon.
