New Mancandy Available for Testing

This amazing rig demonstrated by Bassam at the Blender Conference is available for testing. Bassam plans to release a new version of Mancandy with each release of Blender. Thus ensuring that the latest goodies are included in the rig.
We've posted about texture libraries before, now we have found the king of texture libraries. With over 25 links to other texture libraries, this is the biggest collection we've published so far!

BlenderGalactica.com is a website focused on the science-fiction universe of Battlestar Galactica. BlenderGalactica’s goal is to get the entire fleet of spaceships from Battlestar Galactica into downloadable packed .blends (many with textures as well).

YotoPhoto – it's a weird name but it's an awesome resource! Have you ever been working on a project and needed a reference image. Maybe you needed a color pallette, a background reference, or just some stock art for details in your textures – you can find all of these at YotoPhoto.

Some of you out there may already be familiar with this search feature, but for everybody else, it's just a hidden goldmine waiting to be explored. Google Patents searches within a library of currently 7 million patents. Almost all of these have more or less detailed drawings included. Perfectly suited as blueprints or references for 3D modeling!

They just keep popping up everywhere. Another new character rig is now available. Otto is the name of the rig and its based on the techniques demonstrated at the Blender conference.

There has been a growing community of individuals and studios using Blender for architectural visualizations and renderings. A website has been started by a French architect to promote using Blender for architecture, and bring together content for Blender.

Oscar Alvarado has prepares no less than seven themed material libraries for use with Blender, each consisting of ten materials. He even expects to add another five next month.

Last February, we wrote about Andrew Kator's Blender 3D Model Repository, a great and well maintained resource for Blender users. In July he closed down, but an alternative is now available.

Non-particle Candle Flame Resource.

In case you missed this, Nathan Dunlap has created a nice example of a candle flame sans particles. A good example of simplifying a workflow to achieve an effect.
Wim Claes shares a .blend file that he created to learn the basics of the Blender animation tools.
Looking for some fancy new fonts to use in your new Blender project? Jacob Randal sent in a link to a really nice font library.
A blueprint is generally defined as a plan or technical drawing usually documenting an architecture or an engineering design. Within the world of 3D a "blueprint" can be more generally defined as any plan, its the 2D representation of the 3D model you wish to create. This 2D drawing can be anything from a building plan to a model sheet of game character.
Now what do you do if you lack the skills to create your own "blueprint" or need some obscure blueprint and can't find it? Have no fear, Blendernation is here!
