YotoPhoto – it's a weird name but it's an awesome resource! Have you ever been working on a project and needed a reference image. Maybe you needed a color pallette, a background reference, or just some stock art for details in your textures – you can find all of these at YotoPhoto.
Some of you out there may already be familiar with this search feature, but for everybody else, it's just a hidden goldmine waiting to be explored. Google Patents searches within a library of currently 7 million patents. Almost all of these have more or less detailed drawings included. Perfectly suited as blueprints or references for 3D modeling!

They just keep popping up everywhere. Another new character rig is now available. Otto is the name of the rig and its based on the techniques demonstrated at the Blender conference.
There has been a growing community of individuals and studios using Blender for architectural visualizations and renderings. A website has been started by a French architect to promote using Blender for architecture, and bring together content for Blender.

Last February, we wrote about Andrew Kator's Blender 3D Model Repository, a great and well maintained resource for Blender users. In July he closed down, but an alternative is now available.

A blueprint is generally defined as a plan or technical drawing usually documenting an architecture or an engineering design. Within the world of 3D a "blueprint" can be more generally defined as any plan, its the 2D representation of the 3D model you wish to create. This 2D drawing can be anything from a building plan to a model sheet of game character.
