Here's the introduction of one of the most original Blender games I've seen so far. It was created by a team of only five people during the high-profile British 'Dare to be Digital' contest.

Here's a use for Blender that you haven't seen before: the Great Northern Way Campus in Vancouver, BC, Canada, has been quietly working with Blender and the Blender Game Engine to produce scientific data visualizations on the effect of fishing policy on fish populations. In addition, they're looking for summer interns who can work with Blender.
Glenn Melenhorst is creative Director at Iloura (Charlotte's Web, House of Flying Daggers, The Bank Job). He has been working on an amazing little game called DukDuk!, all done in Blender. We talked to him about his project.

If you can't hardly wait for the Apricot project, to see Blender used in a game production pipeline. There is a game project called VDrift, which uses Blender for the same purpose.

The Bzoo Project is a game creation suite, which provides resources, for anyone interested on develop a multiplayer game with the Blender Game Engine. With the Bzoo templates is very easy to implement network gaming and more, like chats and communication between players.

Whether you make games, play games, or even if you don't like games, you should find this article useful. Eric Gooch, a game lighting artist working for Insomniac Games, has put together this interesting article about how he lit the recent game Resistance: Fall of Man. You'll learn about the difference lighting makes both in realism and in mood, and a bit about the artist's workflow.
A very interesting list of games and interactive animations, developed with the Blender Game Engine, is available at Blender Game Exposé 2007. The list was compiled by PlantPerson, and shows some really good projects. A must see for anyone interested in the Blender GE!
