German Blenderheads are meeting up on the 9th and 10th of July inn Eislingen/Fils, Germany. It’s amazing to see community-run activities like this one year in, year out. Good job guys!

FMX 2011 – Day 2
Dingto reports on the second day at the FMX conference in Stuttgart. Some highlights: Blender and Brecht were mentioned by the talk of Sony Imageworks, and Ton corrects a speaker of FBX when he suggests that FBX is Open Source. Way to go, Ton ;-)
2011 Blender Conference Announced
The 10th Annual Blender Conference will be held once again this year at the De Balie venue in Amsterdam. The conference will be held on the 28th, 29th, and 30th of October.

Blender is at the German FMX Conference in Stuttgart this week. DingTo gives his impressions of the first day.
Polish Blender Conference – July 23rd
This years Polish Blender conference is being held in Wroclaw, on the 23rd of July. The conference will feature both training and a showcase of blenders uses in the entertainment industry. Topics will include talks on modelling, texturing, using Blender with After-Effects, and writing scripts for Blender with Python.
FormaCD and Eyrolles : conference recording soon online
Last Saturday FormaCD hosted a conference about the usage of Blender in the professional studios.
The main presenter of the conference was Francois Grassard (Aka Coyhot) a well know expert of Blender,
who lectured about the new features of the 2.5x and how to use Blender for Visual FX, compositing,
stereoscopic renderic, volumetric and particule FX and a lot more expert stuff.
