Fresh Blender News, Every Day
It is with pain in my heart that I had to leave the 'after-party' of the Blender Conference in Café Cuba tonight. Talking to Bassam about his time in Buenos Aires with the Plumiferos team and our shared admiration for what they are accomplishing, discussing the Blender.org redesigns with Matt, learning about Colin Litster's history and aspirations with Blender, having some good laughs with Andy and Lee, finally meeting Rui and looking back on our time in Boston with Wybren - all of it came to an end because of one simple reason: tomorrow is just another day at the office, and I had to return home…
Saturday was as exciting as Friday, if not more so. To start off, most of yesterday's streams are now available for download via BitTorrent. Please check the downloads page on Blender.org and remember to leave your client open when it's finished so other people can benefit from it. The Art Festival video will probably be online tomorrow - the guys here are working hard to make that a reality.
The first day of the conference is over and Rui and I had a blast talking to people and getting an interview from Angela. It's 22:00 now, the Art Festival has started and we haven't had dinner yet so I'll only say - enjoy the Conference Journal!

Once again Colin Litster will be showcasing the flexibility of Blender. This time it will be at the Blender conference. If you are one of those lucky enough to get tickets to the conference then you will get to see Colin demonstrating how to use Blender's nodes in a workshop on Sunday 22nd October, from 1330 to 1500. Colin has given us an exciting preview of what to expect at his website, Cogfilms.

The Blender Conference begins tomorrow and I'll be there for three days, armed with my videocamera, microphone and laptop. As the organisation has already found enough people to help them record the sessions, I will be free to focus on giving a general impression of the event and on interviewing the attending Blender superstars.
Take a look at the Conference Program and let me know who YOU would like to see on camera and which questions you want me to ask them.

For those not coming to the Blender Conference 2006, the next best thing is to have it recorded. Even if you are coming, I'm sure that with so much things being presented at the same time you will miss something you would like to see.
This is where Filipp Lepalaan comes to the rescue.
