Computer game camp in Denmark – with a little help from Pablo!

When high school students from all over Denmark gather at Aalborg University to develop computer games it is likely to be the world’s largest arrangement of its kind. About 50 young men and women are using a part of their summer vacation to learn more about idea development, animation, programming, and not least, cooperation – from Pablo Vasquez and others.

Apricot, Blender, Beer & Thai Food

Last night I went to Amsterdam and met Ton Roosendaal of the Blender Foundation / Blender Institute and Pablo Vazquez of the Apricot/Yo Frankie! project, Carsten Wartmann of BlenderBuch fame (and an old NaN colleague), and Frank van Beek, who is one of the founders of NeoGeo and an old NaN colleague. I still have a headache!

Got a Question for the Apricot Team?

I’ll be visiting the Blender Institute later today and I hope I’ll have a chance to talk to some of the people in the Apricot team. As they’re in the last days of the project I’m sure they’ll be busy enough, but I might just be able to squeeze a few minutes of attention out of them. What are your burning questions for them?

Final 20 days of Apricot

There’s only 20 days left of the Apricot project (Yo Frankie!). Venomgfx (Pablo) has posted a new blog on the Apricot site regarding the plans for the final few weeks.

There’s also a call for documentation/tutorial ideas to be included on the DVD, along with a list of ideas already thought up by the team for us to get excited about, so get on over to the blog and let them know what you’d like to see!
